I’m Stephanie, a thirty-something book addict. I (fairly) recently completed my MA in English and creative writing and am currently working in medical education while trying to read and write as much as I can. I love sharing my love for books, and am so grateful to all the readers that have allowed me to continue doing so.

I’d list some of my favorite books, but in the words of Neil Gaiman, “picking five favorite books is like picking five body parts you’d most like not to lose.” My favorite authors are Stephen King, William Shakespeare, George Orwell, Erin Morgenstern, Anne Brontë, Jane Austen, V.E. Schwab, and (of course) Neil Gaiman. I’m more attracted to good writing than any particular story element; Neil Gaiman could write about spiders and I’d overcome my arachnophobia to read it.

P.S. Thank you so much for all of the blog awards I’ve been nominated for! I truly appreciate all the love! Because there are so many, I don’t always have time to get around to doing my own post, but I will always read yours and check out the other blogs you’ve nominated, so feel free to nominate me if you’d like.

  1. I love the Neil Gaiman quote. Hadn’t read that one before. Also that H.G. Wells is one of your favorites. I tried to read every one of his books last year and very nearly succeeded. He’s fantastic!

      1. They’re almost all available for free as audiobooks on Librivox, though the quality of narration is highly varied, and the rest are all over the internet in electronic form. Amazon has a few kindle collections for free. I think The Time Machine is my favorite. 😍
