Weekly Wrap Up

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you’re all having a good weekend and that you’re staying safe and well. It’s been a hard week for a lot of people, but we’re going to get through this. But, since I’m sure you’ve all seen enough news, lets just talk about the books!

This week, the only book I finished is Bringing Down the Duke by Evie Dunmore. My coworker and I decided to start a work book club, and, since she wanted historical romance, I suggested this one. We haven’t discussed it yet, but we both loved it! If you’re looking for a light romance read, I would definitely recommend this one!

I did start a few books this week, namely The Last Human by Zack Jordan. So far, I’m really liking it. I didn’t have high expectations – mostly because I didn’t really know what I was getting into – but it’s definitely exceeding them.

In other news, after four days of working from home and already on the verge of a mental breakdown, I bit the bullet and bought myself a Nintendo Switch. So far, it’s pretty fun. I got Mario Kart (because it made me nostalgic for my N64 childhood) and, of course, Animal Crossing. Mostly because everyone has been talking about it nonstop. And it’s pretty addicting. I could definitely use some more game suggestions (especially cheaper ones), so let me know what your favorite Switch game is in the comments. I got the Lite version, so preferably a single-player game.

Happy reading! And binge-watching and video game playing and whatever else you’re staying occupied with!

  1. Oooh I’ve been wanting to play Animal Crossing! We got Pokemon Shield recently which was super fun! On Switch, I HIGHLY recommend Ori and The Blind Forest! Beautiful visuals and story. Also, if you like Pokemon, Temtem is a good one to try!

I hope you and your family are safe during this time ❤

    1. I wasn’t into Pokemon as a kid, and I kind of feel like it’s too much to get into at this point (I know some of the Pokemon and characters and things, but I’m just not invested).

But Ori and the Blind Forest looks fantastic! I just downloaded the demo to try it out. Thanks for the recommendation!

    2. Update: I played the demo of Ori for like 10 seconds and then immediately bought it. It’s so good!! Thanks so much for the recommendation, because I probably wouldn’t have discovered it otherwise!
