Today, we’re not going to talk about the fact that the world has gone absolutely insane. (I’m not talking about the virus – even though it’s a really big deal and we should be taking it seriously – I’m talking about the fact that THERE IS NO TOILET PAPER OR HAND SANITIZER and people suck.) I am going to talk about the fact that this was my first week after getting through a really bad slump – honestly, I’m still a little slumpy – and I finished three books!
The first book I finished this week was Darling Rose Gold by Stephanie Wrobel. This was a really great thriller. It’s based on the story of Gypsy Rose and Dee Dee Blanchard, but hat a lot of great twists and turns. I published a review on Monday, so go check that out if you missed it.
This week I also listened to the audiobook of Nine Pints by Rose George, which is a nonfiction book all about blood. It wasn’t my favorite science/medical book, but it was pretty interesting.
Finally, I read Enter the Aardvark by Jessica Anthony. I’m not going to say much about this one, because I will be doing a review tomorrow. But I will say it was… weird. And I liked it. This is definitely not a book for everyone, but I enjoyed it.
That’s it for this week! I hope you’re all having a great weekend and staying safe and healthy! I’d love to hear what you’ve been reading, so let me know in the comments!
