I can’t believe it’s February already! January was so quick (and stressful). Honestly, I think February is probably going to be more of the same. At least for a few weeks, because then I’m going on vacation! And since I’m not anticipating having much time to read this month (and also because I didn’t finish my January reading list OR the reading list I made for my trip to Prague), I’m keeping this month’s list short. These are actually all ARCs I’m planning on reviewing in the next month or so. Here’s what I’m hoping to read this month:
The Holdout by Graham Moore
I loved Graham Moore’s novel about the current war between Edison and Westinghouse, The Last Days of Night when I read it a few years ago. This one is more of a contemporary murder mystery than historical legal drama, but it still sounds really great.
Darling Rose Gold by Stephane Wrobel
This book sounds a lot like the story of Gypsy Rose and Dee Dee Blanchard. Only, in this one, the mother is released from prison and has nowhere to go except back to the daughter who testified against her. Only that daughter isn’t the weak little girl anymore. It’s been compared to My Lovely Wife by Samantha Downing, which I loved, so obviously, I have to read it.
Enter the Aardvark by Jessica Anthony
This is the one book on this list I picked up on a whim. It’s about a republican congressman running for reelection and one day receives a large, taxidermied aardvark in the mail. Which somehow sets off a chain of events that threaten his career. It just sounds weird and fun and my curiosity about the aardvark is too strong to resist.
Alright, that’s it for my February TBR! What are you planning on reading this month?
I don’t think Darling Rose is a genre I feel particularly at home in, but the book does sound very interesting. I’ll keep that in the back of my mind for when I want to go out of my comfort zone.

Fingers crossed it’s a good one. I haven’t started it yet, but I’m definitely looking forward to it.
