Dewey’s 24-Hour Readathon TBR

I don’t have anything to review today, so, instead, I thought I’d share my TBR for Dewey’s 24-hour readathon – happening tomorrow! – because I can finally participate again, and I’m excited. It’s been a while. There are also quite a few books I want to finish before I start my Stephen King Halloween read, so this is the perfect time to fit them all in.

Since I’m a mood reader, I’m selecting a few different books, so I can always skip around to whatever I feel like reading on Saturday. I will probably not read all of these, but here are the books I’ll be choosing from tomorrow:

City of Ghosts by Victoria Schwab. I think a middle-grade is going to be the perfect choice for a readathon, so I might make this a priority.

Vengeful by V. E. Schwab. I’m not sure why this is taking me so long to read, but I am enjoying it, so I will likely read at least part of it during the readathon.

The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein by Kiersten White. And, in case I need something else, I might pick this one up. The audiobook might be ideal when my eyes inevitably need a break.

Monstress Vol. 1 by Marjorie Liu. Because every readathon needs a graphic novel, and I’ve been meaning to get to this one.

Saga Vol. 8 & 9 by Brian K. Vaughn and Fiona Staples. And I do really want to finish Saga, but I’ve been dreading it because I accidentally spoiled myself and I don’t want what happens to happen.

Sons of Ares by Pierce Brown and Rik Hoskin. One more graphic novel I want to get to before the end of the year, just in case that’s all I feel like reading tomorrow.

I’m pretty happy with this list. I am scheduling this in advance, so I depending on how my Friday reading goes, I may or may not also need to finish Neverworld Wake. Really enjoying that one so far as well.

And, because I’m not in college anymore, I won’t be pushing myself to do a full 24 hours. I am not waking up at 5am and probably won’t pull an all-nighter. But I’d rather not be exhausted. And I still don’t have the right glasses I need to read, so I’m not going to stress out over it. I’m just going to read as much as I can during those 24 hours.

Are you planning on participating in the readathon? Anything specific you’re planning on reading? Let me know in the comments!
