I am so excited for this month, because I have finally gotten caught up with the majority of the ARCs I needed to read, which means I get to celebrate my birthday month by reading whatever I want.
The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson. I think it’s about time I read the Mistborn trilogy, and since summer is almost here, it feels like a good moment to start. I actually already picked this up a few days ago, but haven’t gotten very far. I’m hoping to get into it, and finish it soon.
Obsidio by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. I picked this one up at the beginning of April, but still haven’t read it. I’ve really enjoyed this series thus far, and am excited to finish it.
Only Human by Sylvain Neuvel. This is another trilogy I’m hoping to finish this month. The final book just came out yesterday, and I need to pick up a copy. If only because these books are so damn pretty.
Hamlet by William Shakespeare. Since my birthday is this month, I thought I would treat myself by reading a Shakespeare play I’m excited about (I’ve been trying to get through his lesser-known plays lately). I can’t believe I still haven’t read Hamlet, but that’s about to change.
I think that’s all I’m planning on reading this month. Hopefully I’ll get to a few more books, but this seems like really fun reading list.
What’s on your TBR for May?
Hamlet is really, really good. I hope you love it. I’m super excited for The Final Empire too – I’m waiting for my semester exams to end before committing to that big a book, but I’ll definitely be picking it up!

Thanks! I’m excited to read Hamlet (finally). I’ve heard great things about The Final Empire, but I’m having trouble getting into it. Hopefully it picks up soon.

Good luck with Hamlet! Not my favourite Shakespeare play, I must say. But far more readable than Coriolanus. Mistborn is also on my tbr list!

Thanks! I love the hardcovers! I think mine was only like $13 on Amazon, so you might want to check there.

I’m still trying to read most of the unread books I already own plus all the Kindle Unlimited and library books I borrowed .. but I made some headway this month thank goodness! Happy reading!

Thanks! That’s not an easy feat (I’ve given up on reading all of my books). Good luck!

HAMLET IS THE BESTEST! Seriously, thought, it’s my favorite of his plays. I like many of them for various scenes or characters but I think it all came together with Hamlet. Anyway, enjoy!
