This is going to be an extra short wrap up because 1) I hurt my back sitting in bad chair for four hours proctoring an exam and don’t want to sit in my desk chair for longer than necessary and 2) I didn’t finish any books this week. I can’t remember the last time I didn’t finish a single book in a week. I did, however, get a decent bit of reading done overall, and have a few current reads to talk about.
I am almost done reading The Philosopher’s Flight by Tom Miller and I am in love with this book! It might just be the start of a new favorite series. I was hoping to finish it yesterday, but I spent the day watching dumb TV and knitting instead. No regrets.
I’m still working my way through Leonardo da Vinci by Walter Isaacson, and it is such a good book! I’m kind of obsessed with it right now, and I’m excited to keep reading.
This week, I read a bit more of The Red Word by Sarah Henstra, and, to be honest, I’m not really feeling it. I liked her first book, but this one is a lot different and I’m not sure it’s my cup of tea. I will be doing a review soon-ish, though, so I’m going to keep reading.
That’s pretty much it for this week. I’m hoping to get a bit more reading done this week. I’ll definitely be finishing The Philosopher’s Flight, and I’m hoping to read The Darkling Bride by Laurie Anderson, which just came in the mail (because I am really in the mood for something dark).
What are you reading this weekend?
