Weekly Wrap Up – April 2

weekly-wrap-up

I almost started this weekly wrap up exactly the same as last week’s, because, yet again, it’s been a very long week. I worked two days more than I usually do, had my first post-grad school job interview (it went really well in case anyone was wondering), stayed up until 4am two nights in a row hot gluing things for my a cancer fundraiser my sister helped run, and still managed to finish two (almost three) books. Today, I will be sleeping. And it’s going to be amazing.

The first book I finished this week was Waking Gods by Sylvain Neuvel, the sequel to his debut novel, Sleeping Giants. I enjoyed this book just as much as the first one, and am already eagerly anticipating book three. It ends on one of the biggest cliffhangers I have ever read, and I need to find out what happens next! You can read my review of Waking Gods, and pick up your own copy when it comes out on Tuesday!

Then I read Vol. 2 of I Hate Fairyland (entitled Fluff My Life) by Skottie Young. I really like this series, and this book was no exception. I do think I liked the first volume a bit more, but this one was still really great. It’s just such a fun story! I will definitely be continuing this series.

This week, I also finally got into Hidden Figures and only have a few chapters left. I am really enjoying it, even though it is a little dry. But, once I put the audiobook on 2x speed, it definitely picked up! I will definitely be finishing it in the next couple of days or so.

I’m also currently reading If We Were Villains by M. L. Rio, which I absolutely love so far, and am hoping to finish later today so I can have a review up tomorrow. I’m also a few chapters into The Shadow Land by Elizabeth Kostova, which is one of my most anticipated reads of the year. I like what I’ve read so far, and am definitely excited about reading the rest of it.

I hope you’re all having a fantastic weekend! What’s on your TBR for this week?
