Blogging Burnout

It’s been more than a month, and I’m still struggling to catch up with blogging after finishing my masters. If you’re a blogger, you know how much time it can take (and if you’re not, just know it takes so much more time than you’d expect), and I just haven’t been all that into it lately. I have absolutely no plans to quit anytime soon, I’m just feeling stuck at the moment.

I’m trying to plan ahead and get some posts scheduled, but it’s just taking me longer than I’d hoped. This is going to be just a quick post to let you know that I’m working on figuring out what works best for me right now – which I’m sure will change when I get a full-time job – but if I don’t have posts up every day for a while, that’s because I’m working on getting some good ones up for you guys.

I’m not sure I’ll have a post up tomorrow, but hopefully I can spend part of this weekend writing, and get a few interesting posts up next week.

P.S. I’m also a bit behind on book reviews, so if you sent me a book for review, just know that I’m working on getting to them, but I want to make sure I’m in the right headspace to give them the amount of consideration they deserve. Thanks for your patience.

  1. I so hear you! I had a time where I just couldn’t find the time, energy and motivation to blog either, but had no intention to quit altogether. You will figure out what works best for you, take all the time you need. And don’t worry about not posting every day, it’s really not a must! ❤

  2. I totally get what you are saying, my blog is still pretty small and new, but I didn’t realize how much work they can be. Don’t get me wrong I also find it very fun, I love talking about books. I felt like I had fallen very behind while healing from ankle surgery, I can only imagine what a masters would do to your time. I think we all just need to work at our own paces depending on what going on, keep it fun not stressful.

  3. I hear you! I only recently started blogging and I realise now the hugeness of the endeavour. Writing does take a lot of time and it is not easy to balance with the everyday obligations we all have. That being said, it is an enjoyable experience and we must focus on the pleasant, creative part of the process. Happy battery recharging!

    1. Thanks! I don’t think anyone goes into blogging realizing how much time it actually takes. But I definitely agree that it’s enjoyable, and I wouldn’t give it up for anything 🙂
