This is my first Waiting on Wednesday post! I’ve seen this weekly feature around for a while, and just decided to participate. I like that it gives me an opportunity to share the books I’m looking forward to, and think it will be a fun addition to my blog. Waiting on Wednesday was created by Jill at Breaking the Spine – head on over to her blog if you want more information.
Waiting on Wednesday is fairly simple, each week, I’ll share one book I am anxiously waiting for. Today, I thought I’d share one of the books I am most highly anticipating for next year (for reasons that are probably obvious):
Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman
It is a collection of stories about the Norse pantheon. So, basically, it combines two of my favorite things: Neil Gaiman and Norse mythology. It is something between a novel and a collection of short stories, which just sounds incredible (I’ve read both novels and short stories by Neil Gaiman, and enjoy them both).
When I first saw the announcement for this book, I’m pretty sure I squealed out loud. I also immediately preordered it, which I rarely do this far in advance. I think this book is going to be amazing, and I can’t wait to get my hands on it. (If anyone reading this wants to send me an ARC, I would love you forever. Just sayin’.)
Norse Mythology is set to be released by W. W. Norton & Company/Bloomsbury on February 7, 2017. Until then, I will be stalking it on NetGalley.
Let me know in the comments: does this book sound interesting? What book are you currently most anticipating?
