I’ve seen this tag around for a while, and I was finally tagged to do it by Nicole at Sorry I’m Booked to do the 3 Days 3 Quotes tag. Which is pretty much exactly as it sounds: I will be sharing one of my favorite reading-related quotes every day for the next three days (in addition to my regularly scheduled posts).
I actually collect quotes – and have since I was in elementary school – so the challenge for me is narrowing down my favorites. I’ve decided to keep them reading-related, and here is one I have been really into lately:
It is what you read when you don’t have to that determines who you’ll be when you can’t help it. – Oscar Wilde
I love Oscar Wilde, and I love completely agree with this quote. What you read, regardless of what you thought of it, influences the way you think. Every single book I read affects the way I read, write, and look at the world in general. Books have made me more intelligent, eloquent, accepting, and empathetic. And I think they are capable of doing the same for anyone.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on this quote. Do you agree with it?
This tag involves tagging three people each day of this tag, so let me know if you’d like to be tagged!
