This week’s Top Ten Tuesday theme (brought to you by The Broke and the Bookish) is the top ten authors I read for the first time this year. I have read some really amazing books so far this year, and discovered a lot of new authors. 2. Ernest Cline – Ready Player One

3. David Mitchell – Cloud AtlasSlade House

4. Nathanael Green & Even Ronan – Language of the Bear

5. Christina Henry – Alice

6. Emily St. John Mandel – Station Eleven

7. Emily Carroll – Through the Woods

8. Naomi Novik – Uprooted

  1. Ernest Cline and V.E. Schwab were on my list too, and Emily St. John Mandel was on my favorite debuts of 2015 list from last week. Are you planning to read “Armada” by Ernest Cline? It was totally different from “Ready Player One” and the plot wasn’t as creative, but it was such a fun read. David Mitchell is a recent add to my to-read list. Several people at work have raved about “Slade House.” And I really, really want to read “Vicious”! It was on my fall to-read list but I didn’t get to it.

    1. I definitely want to read Armada! I heard its not as good, but I love his writing so much I don’t care. And Slade House was amazing – even better than Cloud Atlas. And Vicious was amazing! Different than what I was expecting, but great.
